CLAIRE'S FIRST FEVER

Claire had her first fever this week. It was a quick moving cold that ran through the house. It has made for a couple of sleepless nights. She seems to be on the upswing though, and she managed to take a nice photo with Mom.

Claire's first Thanksgiving

We had a house full for Claire's first Thanksgiving. We had a total of 16 people here for Thanksgiving dinner, although Claire of course didn't eat. It was so nice to not only have all her grandparents her but Liz, Dan, Megan, and Breanna and her uncle Gregg who flew in on Thanksgiving day. Virgil's son Steve and his family also joined us for dinner.

Uncle Gregg

Claire finally got to meet her Uncle Gregg from South Carolina on Thanksgiving. He gave her a cute outfit trimmed in a leopard print.

Little bunny

Claire slept through the Holidazzle parade that the family went to on Thanksgiving weekend. Since it has gotten cold she is wearing a soft bunny coat that her Grandma Helen made Alley originally.

Stickers

Alley is really into stickers right now. She puts them everywhere and you find them everywhere! But she lately seems to think that Claire is her best canvas for her sticker art.

Oh Fishy!

Alley and Claire were mesmerized by the orange fish. I remember Alley loving this bouncy seat. Claire seems to take a liking to it too and smiles at the starfish that spins.

Claire really is a smiley baby. Once she learned how to smile she can't stop. But on the other hand she'll really almost startle you with her loud cry that pops up all of a sudden.

First week of daycare

Claire seemed to have a good first week of daycare. She seems to take mostly catnaps there - maybe an hour at a time. She must like to look at all the other kids and babies. She has quite a range in her room, to ones that can, and crawl, to babies that lounge in the bouncers like her. She must be wore out by the end of the day, because she is sleeping so much better at night. She only gets up once now and goes back to sleep so much better. I still haven't figured out the best way to drop the 2 kids off at daycare, as Alley really is pokey in the morning and wants to play with everything she sees in Claire's room. On Friday they brought Claire over to Alley's room to visit - but it is tough to say if Alley remembers that her little sister is down the hall.

By the way, Claire isn't sitting up yet - Rob propped her up for the picture.
