Birds Big and Small

Claire loved feeding parakeets and Ostrich's too at Sever's Fall Festival.  The Ostrich however you can only feed with a soup ladel - otherwise if would probably eat your finger too.  The parakeet's were quite the opposite - we bought popsicle sticks encrusted in bird seed and the gentle birds would fly right up and perch on your stick.

Besides all the fun we have had this fall - Claire is still liking pre-school in her beloved Mr Mark's class, taking a phonics class, and just started Sunday school.  She is in a class with Alley, and our friends AJ Ficek and Kevin Bizily.

Farmer Claire

Farmer Claire-
We went to the Fall Festival At Sever's in Shakopee and really had a great time.  We did the corn maze of course, hail bail maze and jumped in a huge pit of corn kernels.  Claire was so dirty by the end of day, but the animals didn't care.  She fed sheep, goats, deer, llamas, and even ostrich at their petting zoo.

Claire's a horse girl too

Lots of opportunities to get close and personal with some ponies. Labor day weekend we went to pick apples and Claire was excited to ride a white pony and brush his mane afterwards. Later in Septemeber, we went to see the show Cavalia. Claire was really into it for the first half, but fell asleep for the second half of the show (I guess she still is a little girl). Lastly, Claire got to perfect her riding technique at the Fall Festival in early October.

Bouncing around

Claire informed me that watching Alley play soccer is boring and she intends to bounce the whole time at the playground.  Below - 1 of 2 big bounce pillows that Claire had fun on this fall.
Claire is doing well in preschool- she started phonics which I think has already helped her. She still has problems with the "th" sound - she doesn't seem to correct herself when I remind her it is "three" not "free"
