At the DL DQ

The Grommesh family is in Detroit Lakes this weekend for a family getaway. We of course have been swimming everyday. Tonight we went to the movie Brave then to Dairy Queen. We took highway 10 here and every little town had their DQ.

Shortly after this photo Claire stole Rob's blizzard but offered up her star bar.

" Ican't believe it went on a roller coaster!"

Claire kept saying after we were at the Mall of America with Uncle Gregg and went on Claire's first big roller coaster. At Disneyworld last year she was too short to ride big roller coasters.

Claire has really improved in the last 6 months - able to recognize more letters and is really showing an interest in Alley's homework. So I guess she is ready for kindergarten. Wow that will be nice to have both kids in our backyard at Aquila.

Hollywood Glam

Claire's class had a Hollywood Glamorous day last week - so it was a chance for Claire to wear this fabulous dress. She is holding a poodle - just like Barbie Fashion Fairytale - for all you fans out there.

We can now be reassured that she will be able to deliver her academy award acceptance speech also. She had a speech screening today and did alright. She is still within typical range - saying lellow instead of yellow and dare instead of there. Although she still says - "her the most beautiful princess" and "how grower up is she?" - she should be able to correct that as well.
