Easter Sunday 2008

Sitting up and growing up

Claire with her budda belly is finally sitting up. She gets more stable everyday and can sit without the safety net of a boppy pillow behind her now. She still really wants to crawl but has only managed to turn herself and scoot herself backwards so far.

She is trying new foods everyday - this of course was carrots- which her Dad made a mess of.

Flu Bug

Here's Claire taming the Flu Bug. Our little girl sure has gotten her share of nasty bugs in her short life. She had Croup in Dec., hospitalized with RSV in Jan and now has Influenza A. They don't vaccinate kids under 6 months, so she got unlucky. We got on top of it though and she seems much better and probably will head back to daycare tomorrow.

Looks are deceiving. She is about to fall over in this shot, propped up on the bug - instead she looks like she is holding her own and laughing with her sister.

On a roll

Claire has figured she can get to anywhere she wants to go - as long as she rolls. She is pretty excited about it. We'll have to capture it on video. She just so badly wants to move or crawl- she'll just lays on her belly with all her arms and legs kicking - trying to figure out how to propel herself forward.

First Teeth

Claire is popping up with 2 teeth on the bottom. She is drooling all the time and has started to want to chew on everything - including her fingers.

CLAIRE'S FIRST SOLID FOODS

Claire got her first taste of solid foods today; a small bowl of rice cereal. She seemed to want to eat it, but spit every spoon full out relatively quickly. Having tasted it myself I do not know that I totally blame her :)
