Claire got to meet her grandpa Alley and her two great aunts Josie and Charlotte this week. She has been a really good baby so far - has her nights and days a little mixed up - but really doesn't complain much. I'm certainly thankful she has been good to me, as her sister is trying to adjust to her new world.
Grandma Erlys stayed for the first week to help with Alley and around the house. She was so helpful and allowed Rob to be at the hospital all weekend and to slip away for an important meeting for a day. Alley went to daycare most of the week, just to keep her in her routine. We all unfortunately came down with a stomach virus though - that really wiped us out. Claire weathered it OK though and fortunately slept while we all slept recovering from the virus.
Bath time only consists of a sponge bath until her cord falls off - so no bubbles and ducks for a while. I can't believe what tiny arms and legs she has - so much smaller than Alley. She does however have a double chin.
Alley really wanted to sit next to the baby, as Alley calls her. I am sure they will be close friends and playmates - or at least I can hope.
